Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about our Box Office hours, walk-up tickets, age restrictions and more? Find all the answers here.

The Box Office at the venue lobby opens one hour prior to events and closes approximately 15 minutes after events begin. For performances that begin at 7:00 pm, for example, the Box Office will be open between the hours of 6:00 pm and 7:15 pm. On show nights, we are only able to accommodate purchases for that evening’s show and cannot guarantee our staff will be able to assist with the purchase of future events.

The Box Office only accepts cash in person. If you wish to pay with a credit card, please purchase your tickets in advance on our website. If you have questions about your ticket contact OvationTix Customer Service at customerservice@ovationtix.com or (866) 811-4111

All ticket sales are final. There are no ticket refunds once a transaction has been completed for all productions and events. However, we understand that emergencies arise. In those circumstances, we will allow you to exchange your tickets, or you can donate the cost of your ticket to The Greene Space.

The Greene Space encourages everyone to purchase tickets in advance for performances on our website or by calling Ovation Tix customer service toll-free at (866) 811-4111.

We offer a limited number of discounted tickets to watch the show in studio without guaranteed seating. If any seats become available before the event, our staff will notify you and escort you to the open seating.

We always recommend buying tickets in advance to guarantee a reservation.

For sold-out shows, The Greene Space does not offer a waitlist. However, there is a possibility of walk-up tickets if you’re willing to take a chance on the night of the show. To be considered for walk-up tickets, please arrive when the box office opens at 6:00 pm on the night of the show and give your name to the staff. If any advance ticket holders do not show up and we have available seats we will sell you a ticket. The Greene Space cannot guarantee the availability of walk-up tickets on the night of sold-out shows.

Most of our events are available to watch via live video stream and archived for on-demand viewing. See individual event pages for more details.

To apply the discount to your ticket purchase, you’ll need to enter the sustaining member promo code when buying your tickets. The discount code is sent to you in the bi-monthly member newsletter. You can also get your code by contacting New York Public Radio’s Listeners Services here.

All ages are welcome at The Greene Space, but not all performances are appropriate for children. Feel free to email us at thegreenespace@wnyc.org   to ask more specific questions about the nature of the performance or performers.

Most of our shows involve recordings that will be broadcast or webcast. Regardless of age, any attendee who disturbs an event may be asked to step out of the performance space and into the lobby to view the performance on our live-feed monitors.

Every child who will be occupying a seat, even for a short amount of time, needs a ticket.

Lobby doors open an hour before the event begins. Studio doors open 30 minutes prior to the event start time.

Concessions are not sold at all of our shows. If available, our bar opens an hour prior to the event start time and serves beer, wine, water bottles and soft drinks.

Yes! We have some fun swag available as a thank you gift for your donation to support the entire New York Public Radio organization. You can make your donation and select your gift here, or add it on at check-out when you make your next ticket purchase.

If you add your gift to a ticket purchase, you will receive the item at the Box Office on the day of the event at check-in. The item will be mailed to you if you choose to only make a donation.
