Making Visible the Invisible
Friday, August 6, 2010 through Tuesday, August 31, 2010
New York City is a raw, unbridled and unique symphonic and polyrhythmic sonic landscape, but what does the New York City soundscape look like? Come to The Greene Space to find out, and view our city-wide collaboration, which displays the many unique perspectives of New York City photographers themselves.
Every night at 5 p.m., for the entire month of August, The Greene Space lights up Varick Street with an array of pictures representing the dymanic soundscape of New York City. Images from New York photographers are projected in the store front windows of The Greene Space; seen by up to 3 million people en route to the Holland Tunnel each month and by pedestrians in Hudson Square. Come see what New York City sound looks like--making visible the invisible--at The Greene Space or below.
