Two of New York’s most exciting musical minds take over The Greene Space for a live Soundcheck broadcast. Super-producer Mark Ronson crafted hits for British pop stars Amy Winehouse, Adele and Lily Allen. He joins us with his band The Business Intl to play songs from their album Record Collection. It fuses hip-hop with ‘80s dance-pop and features guest turns from R&B enigma D’Angelo, rapper Q-Tip and yes … Duran Duran. Later: Lou Reed, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog and HBO’s Boardwalk Empire have all called upon the talents of pop polymath Nellie McKay. She joins us to play songs from a whimsical, genre-defying album called Home Sweet Mobile Home.
