Join pianist Arunesh Nadgir and authors Hirsh Sawhney and Karan Mahajan for “Beyond Bollywood,” an intimate journey into the diversity and dynamic nature of culture in India. The celebration of music and writing will also explore how the artists’ works have been shaped by global influences and the cultural complexities of India.
This unique program, part of the the Global Piano and Literary Salon series presented by The Greene Space, PianoCulture.com and PEN World Voices Festival, features a performance by Dr. Nadgir, a piano soloist and chamber musician who has toured the world, and a reading by Mr. Sawhney, who edited and contributed a short story to Delhi Noir, an anthology of new fiction, followed by a lively conversation. The evening includes complimentary wine and Indian-inspired snacks.
A Global Piano and Literary Salon is highlighting artists and intellectuals from Cuba, China, Russia and India. Have you visited any of those countries? If so, we'd love to see your travel photos!
