7:00 PM

The Greene Space’s innovative radio theater initiative, A New Theater of Sound, welcomes Rocco Sisto, actor and founding member of Shakespeare and Company theater group. Sisto will serve as both host and star of the evening, performing excerpts from the Shakespearean canon interwoven with lively conversation and rarely heard archival audio of Shakespeare on the radio. This evening is presented in collaboration with the Yorinks Theater Group.

In July and August 2011, Lincoln Center Festival and Park Avenue Armory, in association with The Ohio State University, bring the Royal Shakespeare Company to New York City for an unprecedented six weeks of acclaimed Shakespeare repertoire. The RSC brings an ensemble of 42 actors plus artistic teams and a specially constructed theater that imaginatively re-creates the RSC’s Stratford-upon-Avon home inside the Armory’s soaring Wade Thompson Drill Hall.

The RSC is the world’s premier Shakespearean company. The Greene Space will host a series of conversations for a closer look at this landmark endeavor.
