This event is sold out, but you can watch the live video Webcast on thegreenespace.org.
How do you create a second life? In this live edition of Studio 360, Kurt Andersen talks reinvention with writer-turned-lawyer Elizabeth Wurtzel, actor-turned-musician Merrill Garbus and comedian-turned-hot stud Eugene Mirman. With live music from Garbus’s Tune-Yards, whom New York magazine called a “dance party for wild things.”
Elizabeth Wurtzel is the author of the bestselling books Prozac Nation, Bitch, and More, Now, Again. A Harvard graduate whose work has appeared in such publications as The New Yorker, New York, The Guardian, and The Oxford American, she lives in New York City.
tUnE-yArDs is the singular musical project of New England native Merrill Garbus. w h o k i l l, tUnE-yArDs’ sophomore album, is a thrill for fans of the live show that left most stunned in 2010. Transplanting herself from Montreal to sunny Oakland, California, while touring almost non-stop for over two years, Merrill has stripped tUnE-yArDs away to a more precise, concentrated and vivid sound.
Eugene Mirman is a comedian and hero who lives in Brooklyn, NY. He is a regular on Flight of the Conchords, Adult Swim’s Delocated, had his own special on Comedy Central, and voices Gene in the new animated Fox series Bob’s Burgers.
