On-Demand Video: French and American Authors Talk Proust, Love and Jealousy
Tuesday, October 29, 2013
Marcel Proust’s monumental novel, In Search of Lost Time, was published a century ago this year, and it has been delighting, frustrating, and entrancing readers ever since.
On October 28, 2013, The Greene Space hosted a panel of French and American authors for a discussion about Proust's enduring legacy and his motifs of love and jealousy. Writers Catherine Millet, Jean-Christophe Valtat and Edmund White shared how their approaches to those themes were influenced by Proust. The conversation was hosted by scholar and novelist Lila Azam Zanganeh.
This Proust Inspired Fiction! panel was part of the "Year with Proust Festival" organized by the French Cultural Services.
