...oh never mind, the "no participation till 2015" rule applies to bands who made it to Ulitimate Battle, which we did not...but we will! Lookout New York! :)

Hello, I'm a wee tad confused in that, my project 'Captains of Industry' (remember the barking dogs?) participated in the Bronx Battle last year. I received an email stating that we would be welcome to return for another shot at it for 2014, but your rules say clearly that participants from 2013 can't reapply till 2015 Battle. Please clarify--which is it? Please respond quickly, time sensitive :) www.gregburrows.net

my music is so original and delicious. nobody writes songs like the johns. my best songs have so many words they can't fit into the five minute limit on the submissions survey. here's the video i would have submitted.

The sloe guns combine great songwriting, memorable hooks and lyrics, creative harmonies, and some of the best musicianship since Duane and Dickie started duelin’. They are a reminder that there’s still commercially-viable down-to-earth American music: think a hard-rockin Neil Young and Crazy Horse with the memorable songs of Creedence Clearwater Revival. The sloe guns give hope to music lovers everywhere who are tired of the flavor-of-the-years that are cramming the airwaves with pre-pubescent junk. With roots going back to the best of American and British invasion 60s and 70s rock, the sloe guns are proof that high-quality grassroots rock-n-roll is alive and well in America. Country Standard Time calls their songs “miniature epics... with tight harmonies and instrumental interplay.... tall tales with all sorts of Americana allusions... with references throughout, from Crazy Horse to the Wallflowers...” Time Out New York writes: “the quartet’s Southern rock cruises with a classic feel, with an emphasis on the “rock” rather than the “Southern” part. Not unlike the Band and other ‘70s stuff.” Trifecta reports “Dueling guitar ferocity and soaring Americana-flavored rock anthems.”
