Actor Brian Cox Stars as Scrooge in 'A Christmas Carol: A Radio Drama' with WNYC and WQXR Hosts

Gather 'round The Greene Space with the hosts of WQXR and WNYC for our annual reading of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol: A Radio Drama."

The beloved holiday tradition returned with the help of Emmy Award-winning actor Brian Cox, who starred in the role of Ebenezer Scrooge. (Listen to him talk with Kristen Meinzer on The Takeaway about how he planned to get into character for the performance.)

Absolutely superb voice acting! I listened to the entire show with eyes closed and the voicing and music were just beautiful.

I never thought last year's performance could be surpassed but I was wrong. This year was better! WNYC has set a high standard for Scrooge and friends.
