Shara Worden and Brooklyn Youth Chorus open the 2013 Ecstatic Music Festival®, presented by Q2 Music

Friday, January 25, 2013

On Friday, January 25, Q2 Music presented the opening night of the 2013 Ecstatic Music Festival in a sold-out evening of performances by Detroit-based songstress Shara Worden and the award-winning Brooklyn Youth Chorus.

Hosted by Q2's Helga Davis, the event featured solo sets from both acts, as well as world premieres written by Worden (My Brightest Diamond) and performed alongside the chorus.

Presented by Kaufman Music Center and curated by composer Judd Greenstein, the Ecstatic Music Festival has garnered critical attention and praise for transcending musical boundaries and has served as a touchstone for the burgeoning indie-classical scene. For the third year in a row, Q2 Music is the festival's digital venue and will be the center for on-demand artist interviews and concert audio.
