Queens band The Great Apes to bring their electro-funk sound to The Greene Space this week

After The Great Apes served up a fierce and rousing performance in The Greene Space's 2012 Battle of the Boroughs, host Terrance McKnight scanned the cheering crowd and said to the band, "Obviously, your music has an emotional impact."

He was right: the band went on to win the Queens title in the talent quest, pulling in the Audience Choice award at The Ultimate Battle that year. It's fitting, then, that they return to our stage this Wednesday, July 24 in a celebration of their borough, as we raise a glass to the best of Queens' breweries in the final installment of this year's Craft Beer Jam series.
