Watch: Creating Broadway's Most Iconic Costumes
Wednesday, January 22, 2014
William Ivey Long made his first costume at age four. Granted, it was for the family dog, but it sparked a passion that's fueled a 40-year career in theater. He's currently designing everything you'll see on the cast of the much-anticipated musical, "Bullets Over Broadway," opening this spring.
You can get a first look at the show on Jan. 28 when we sit down with cast members during a live event in The Greene Space. Before then, take a peek inside Long's design studio and learn how the six-time Tony Award winner creates the clothes for some of Broadway's most iconic characters.
Ticket Giveaway! See those costumes in action! Two winners will be selected and each will receive one pair of tickets to "Bullets Over Broadway" (a value of approximately $300). All you have to do is watch the video, then answer the question below. Those who answer correctly will be entered in our giveaway. The winners will be announced live during our Jan. 28 event in The Greene Space, which you can buy tickets for or watch via live video webcast here.
