In-person event

Overview

Dramatists, scholars and historians of dance and music will consider the playwright’s American Century Cycle in relation to these aesthetics. WQXR’s Terrance McKnight will explore the polyrhythmic framework of these two performance aesthetics in a discussion with choreographer/dancer Ken Roberson, who choreographed Signature Theatre’s 2006 production of Seven Guitars; Bill Sims Jr., renowned American blues musician and composer of original music for Wilson’s Seven Guitars and Jitney; composer Kathryn Bostic; and Garth Fagan, modern dance choreographer.
