TV Is Awesome, Part I

Monday March 3 2014 • 7:00pm - 8:00pm ET
In-person event

Overview

Watch live! The conversation will stream live below beginning 7pm:

One has to wonder, what’s happening? Are we just becoming more accepting of the fact that we enjoy naughty thrills, or is there something darker at work?

Join Studio 360’s Kurt Andersen as he sits down with David Chase and Steve Buscemi — creators of some of the most wickedly appealing characters in recent memory. They’ll explore the rise of the antihero on TV and what it says about us.

STEVE BUSCEMI has built a career portraying some of the most unique and unforgettable characters in recent cinema, including Carl Showalter in “Fargo” and Mr. Pink in “Reservoir Dogs.” He currently stars as Nucky Thompson in the HBO drama, “Boardwalk Empire,” for which he won a Golden Globe Award, two Screen Actors Guild Awards and two Emmy nominations.

DAVID CHASE is a writer, director and television producer, and winner of seven Emmy Awards. He is the creator of HBO’s acclaimed series, “The Sopranos,” and writer/director of the film, “Not Fade Away.”

This event is part of our TV Is Awesome conversation series, exploring the new “golden age” of television
