Dear President: What You Need To Know About Race is WNYC’s post-election series of first-person radio essays by leading black thinkers, writers and activists exploring a broad range of personal truths about being Black in America to help set a new agenda for racial equality.
In addition, be part of a live audience in this evening of micro-conversations based on the themes of these essays. Hear from novelist and Dear President essayist Kaitlyn Greenidge, filmmaker Stephen Winter (“Jason & Shirley”), Colorlines editorial director Akiba Solomon, David Carr fellow at The New York Times Greg Howard, GARAGE magazine editor-in-chief Thessaly La Force, and comedian and writer Negin Farsad. Poet Chimene Suleyman will also join to perform.
