Overview

The Global Salon: SWEDEN takes an astonishing look at multiculturalism and how the country’s evolving pluralistic landscape is a reimaging unto itself.  Host Eddie Robinson will lead audiences to an extraordinary quest of unexpected facets of daily life within contemporary Swedish culture. This Global Salon will also highlight gender equality measures and expose political implications relative to the first volume of the late Swedish author Stieg Larsson’s crime novel trilogy, “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.”

Anna Stenport Internationally-acclaimed educator/published researcher; Director of Scandinavian Studies, University of Illinois

Nina Persson & Nathan Larson Persson is lead singer of ‘The Cardigans’ and Larson is author/film composer, “Boys Don’t Cry” (1999) and “Choke” (2008)

Lars Trägårdh Swedish historian, writer; Professor of the Institute for Civil Society Studies at The Ersta Sköndal University College in Sweden; former professor, Barnard College, Columbia University

Janne Teller Macroeconomist, award-winning author who has worked as a consultant for the European Union and the United Nations in Dar-es-Salaam, Brussels, New York, and in Mozabique
