Overview

Every first Wednesday of the month, settle in for an hour of musical serenity with rising stars from The Juilliard School.

Leave your emails and phone calls behind and join us for these free midday concerts featuring selections from some of classical music’s most beloved composers.

Featuring The Kila Quartet.

Program:
Mozart: String Quartet No. 19 in C Major, K 465 (“Dissonance”)
Bartók: String Quartet No. 3

The Spirio by Steinway & Sons is the official piano of The Greene Space.

This is free and open to all. Audience will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis and an RSVP does not guarantee your admission. If capacity is reached at any given time, we will maintain a line outside our doors and follow a one-in, one-out policy. We recommend arriving early to better secure entry to the venue.

Tickets to this event are free, but reservations are recommended.

The Kila Quartet came together at the 2018 Perlman Music Program (PMP) Chamber Music Workshop and enjoys the privilege of coaching with Roger Tapping at The Juilliard School. Most recently, the quartet was invited to the 2019 PMP Chamber Music Workshop as a pre-formed ensemble, working closely with Joel Krosnick, Merry Peckham and Donald Weilerstein. They have been heard and seen in masterclasses at the 2019 Robert Mann String Quartet Institute, the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, and at the Wednesdays at One series in Alice Tully Hall. The quartet recently had the opportunity to give educational performances at elementary schools in Long Island, NY and looks forward to continuing these projects in Florida this spring.
