Monday, November 05, 2018

(Matthew Septimus)

Voting matters. And so does the way we engage in our city every other day of the year.

On the eve of Election Day, watch a live video stream from The Greene Space as WNYC helps us get inspired to find new ways to volunteer and step up in our communities. Hosted by WNYC reporters Shumita Basu and Yasmeen Khan.

Joining us will be the newly appointed Chief Democracy OfficerAyirini Fonseca-Sabune, and Ben Yee, State Committeeman for New York's Assembly District 66.

Representatives from organizations including Immigrant Families TogetherParticipatory Budgeting ProjectRefugees Welcome to DinnerFuture NowCoalition for the Homeless22x20 and Good Call NYC will share their work and answer your 1:1 questions about how to get engaged.

This does not appear to be a live stream. Keep seeing the message: "Waiting for Greene Space..." So will the event be recorded and available online alter? Sylvia Alexander
