A year ago, there were no licensed breweries in Queens. Today there are four. Among them is Bridge and Tunnel Brewery, a nano-scale micro-brewery that opened up its one-man shop in Maspeth last September.
Owner Rich Castagna will be among the Queens brewers at the final installment of our July Craft Beer Jam series on Wednesday, July 24. We’ll find out why the borough has become a brewing hotspot, taste its beers and find out what it’s like to open a brewery.
We caught up with Castagna to find out how he went from beer lover to homebrewer to operating a licensed brewery in New York City.
